How You're Taught

This course combines the Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing and the Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. In total, the course runs for 14 days (5 days for Level 2 and 9 days for Level 3). Each day starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm - it is essential that you attend all of the days to achieve the qualification.

Level 2 Gym

There is an element of self-study which you will be required to complete before you attend the course. This includes completing an Anatomy & Physiolgy workbook with the help of an Anatomy & Physiology manual. We will post these out to you once we receive your booking. We advise you to spend a minimum of two weeks on this part of the course. Your tutor will be available to offer support to you during this time.

This part of the course is usually delivered over two and a half weekends, although we do sometimes offer midweek courses too (typically on Wednesdays and Thursdays for two and a half weeks).

Level 3 Personal Trainer

Like Level 2, there is an element of self-study and a workbook to complete before you attend your practical sessions. We will give you the materials for this on day 5 of the Gym Instructor course.

The practical part of the course runs over 9 days, usually over our and a half weekends (not always consecutive). We do sometimes offer midweek courses, again on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Assessments are intergrated throughout the course so that you don't have to complete them all at the end.
