The Level 3 Diploma in Performance Massage qualification provides you with the knowledge and skills required to massage clients for preparation and recovery from strenuous activities.

If you're already an holistic massage therapist, a personal trainer or a sports coach, this qualification is perfect for you to add another service to your business offer.

The course gives you all the fundamental massage skills needed to support clients. It will help your clients with pre, post and inter-event muscle maintenance and restoration.

The Performance Massage course is fully endorsed by The General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT) and developed in association with the Association for Soft Tissue Therapists (SMA).

How You're Taught

This course is delivered in person over 4 non-consecutive weekends (8 days in total), starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm each day. 

Each day consists of theory lectures and practical sessions, covering all aspects of the course. 

You will be expected to practice massage techniques on your peers and your peers will also need to practice on you. You will therefore need to wear comfortable clothing and footwear and bring a change of clothes, preferably shorts and a T-shirt. Changing rooms are available.

*For evening courses, it's delivered in-person over 12 evenings, starting at 6pm and finishing at 9pm each day.

Performance Massage - Level 3

Progression

The Level 3 Diploma in Performance Massage qualification is a pre-entry requirement for the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy (Soft Tissue Dysfunction) qualification. The Level 4 qualification is required for industry recognition as a sports massage therapist.

Entry Requirement

There are no pre-requisites or pre-entry requirements for this qualification.

Fees & Funding

The price of the course is £1250.00.

A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.

You can pay for this course yourself (self-funded) either in full or over a maximum of 6 interest-free monthly instalments (using an Envisage Payment Plan). 

If you aged 19 or above, you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan. More information about this is available in the "Payment and Funding" section of the website. 

If somebody else is paying for the course on your behalf (e.g. your employer or another organisation), please select "Invoice" at the payment section of your booking and we will be in touch for more information about this.

FAQs

What happens if I need to miss a day due to illness or a pre-booked event?

It is in your best interest to attend as much of your course as you can. However, if you do need to miss a day or two, don't worry, we will help you to catch-up. We will send you the work that you miss over email or you may even be able to pop in to our office so that we can go through the missing bits with you. All that we ask is that you notify us of your absence as soon as you can so that support can be put in place.  If you miss a large chunk of your course, we may transfer you onto a later course so that you are able to attend as many days as possible. 


What time does each day start and finish?

Each day starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm at the latest. Sometimes you may finish a little earlier, but you will bever leave before 4pm as there is so much content to get through. Please arrive for 8.45am each day so that we can start on time. 


Can I pay for this course with Student Finance?

Yes - this course is available on the Advanced Learner Loan scheme. When you get to the payment section of your booking, select "Advanced Learner Loan" and you will not be charged. A member of our team will then contact you to discuss the next steps. For more information about this payment method, click on the "Payment and Funding" tab and then "19+ Advanced Learner Loans". 


What do I need to bring?
  1. Wear clothing and footwear suitable for exercise
  2. Spare pair of shorts
  3. Notepad and pen
  4. Food and drink (microwave and refrigeration facilities are available)

Do we get a lunch break?

Yes, designated lunch breaks are provided. We advise that you bring lunch with you to save you having to leave the venue during your lunch break. Microwave and refrigeration facilities are available. 


How do I view all of the course dates that I need to attend?

Click on the "Book Now" button above and all of the course dates will come up for you to view. Don't worry, you will not be booked onto the course at this stage.


Is there anything I need to complete before I start my course?

No - all course materials will be given to you on day one of your course. 


Do I need a prior qualification to do this course?

No - there is no pre-requisite for the Level 3 Diploma in Performance Massage qualification, but you do need this qualification to progress onto the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy (Soft Tissue Dysfunction) qualification.
