Level 3 and Level 4 Massage (Combined)
This course option combines both the Level 3 Diploma in Performance Massage and the Level 4 Certificate Sports Massage Therapy (Soft Tissue Dysfunction) qualifications.
You'll attend and complete each course individually and you'll receive two separate certificates. This combined option simply makes the courses more affordable due to a discounted price for booking both together.

Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy (Soft Tissue Dysfunction)
- 8 day in-person taught course
- Each day starts at 9 am and finishes at 5pm
- The range of assessments include:
- Practical observation
- Written worksheets
- Online open book Q+A
- Qualifies you to deliver sports massage therapy treatments, allowing you to treat clients suffering from pre-diagnosed injuries or long-term muscle complaints.

How You're Taught
These courses are delivered in person over 16 days in total (8 days for Level 3 and 8 days for Level 4).
Each day consists of theory lectures and practical sessions and starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm.
You will be expected to practice massage techniques on your peers and your peers will also need to practice on you. You will therefore need to wear comfortable clothing and footwear and bring a change of clothes, preferably shorts and a T-shirt. Changing rooms are available.
Assessment
There are a number of different assessments intergrated throughout these qualifications. They include:
- Written Worksheets
- Online open-book Q+A
- Practical Assessments

Progression
Once you have successfully completed both the Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications, you can work as a sports massage therapist. You may start your own sports massage practice, or work alongside other health professionals such as physiotherapists and/or sports therapists.
This course can support access to degree studies related to Sports Therapy and/or Sport and Exercise Sciences.
Entry Requirement
There is no pre-requisite for the Level 3 Diploma in Performance Massage qualification, but you do need this qualification to progress onto the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy (Soft Tissue Dysfunction) qualification.

Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy (Soft Tissue Dysfunction)
- Anatomy and aetiology of soft tissue dysfunction
- Clinical assessment methods and strategic planning
- The use of non-electrical therapeutic modalities in the treatment of soft tissue dysfunction
- Providing post-treatment care
Fees & Funding
The combined price of these courses is £1995.00.
A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.
You can pay for this course yourself (self-funded) either in full or over a maximum of 6 interest-free monthly instalments (using an Envisage Payment Plan).
If you aged 19 or above, you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan. More information about this is available in the "Payment and Funding" section of the website.
