Course Summary

The aim of this qualification is to provide you with the skills, knowledge and expertise to help you design and deliver safe, effective and fun circuit training sessions for a range of clients. 

It will include how to assess and screen your participants and prepare what equipment you will need. 

 

Completing this course allows you to progress onto other Level 2 specialist modules such as, Kettlebells, Group Indoor Cycling, Suspended Movement Training and Health Related Exercise for Children.

How You're Taught

This is a two-day course. This is usually one day a week over two weeks, with one week off in between.  The days run from 9 am until 5 pm and it is essential for you to attend both days.  Please note there is a lot of practical work involved on both days. 

Assessment

The assessment takes place on the second day and involves a written plan followed by a practical assessment with a written evaluation. This will be a group activity and it is helpful if students can bring someone with them to take part in the practical session.

Once you have achieved this qualification you will be able to run group circuit training sessions safely and competently.

Entry Requirement

To be eligible for this course you must already have a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing Gym based Exercise or Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Exercise to Music.

The fee for this course is £220 with a required deposit of £100.

FAQs

What happens if I need to miss a day due to illness or a pre-booked event?

It is in your best interest to attend as much of your course as you can. However, if you do need to miss a day or two, don't worry, we will help you to catch-up. We will send you the work that you miss over email or you may even be able to pop in to our office so that we can go through the missing bits with you. All that we ask is that you notify us of your absence as soon as you can so that support can be put in place.  If you miss a large chunk of your course, we may transfer you onto a later course so that you are able to attend as many days as possible. 


What time does each day start and finish?

Each day starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm at the latest. Sometimes you may finish a little earlier, but you will bever leave before 4pm as there is so much content to get through. Please arrive for 8.45am each day so that we can start on time. 


Can I pay for this course with Student Finance?

No - you can only get Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 and Level 4 "Certificate" or "Diploma" courses. Level 2 courses and Level 3 "Award" courses are not available on the scheme. To help with paying for the course, we offer interest-free payment plans. More information about this can be found by clicking on the "Payment and Funding" tab and then "Envisage Payment Plan". 


What do I need to bring?
  • Wear clothing and footwear suitable for exercise
  • Notepad and pen
  • Food and drink (microwave and refrigeration facilities are available)

Do we get a lunch break?

Yes, designated lunch breaks are provided. We advise that you bring lunch with you to save you having to leave the venue during your lunch break. Microwave and refrigeration facilities are available. 


How do I view all of the course dates that I need to attend?

Click on the "Book Now" button above and all of the course dates will come up for you to view. Don't worry, you will not be booked onto the course at this stage.


Is there anything I need to complete before I start my course?

No - all course materials will be given to you on day one of your course. 


Do I need a prior qualification to do this course?

Yes - you need to be qualified in Level 2 Fitness/Gym Instructing (or equivalent) or Level 2 Group Exercise (e.g.  Exercise to Music).
