How can your business and employees benefit from free training?
Get in touch if you think you’re eligible, a member of our team will discuss the funded training process, check eligibility and answer any questions you may have.
We will sit down with the person in charge of staff development within your business or within the company you work for. We will discuss the training needs of the business and which staff can benefit from the funding. We will also capture information about the business to confirm eligibility.
Here is when we sign-up anyone within your business that has been identified for training. We will capture their details, check that they’re eligible, and then complete an individual learning plan and initial assessment. This part of the process ensures that the learner has all the information they need to maximize the training process. At this stage, we will also identify how the learner can progress once the training is complete. This could be a progression in work, as in taking on extra responsibilities, or it could be a progression onto a higher-level qualification. Either way, we plan for the training to have an impact on the learner and the business. If you're self-employed, you are both the business and the learner in this instance.
Once the plan is in place and sign-ups are complete, the training can begin. We teach and assess across a range of facilities in the Sheffield City Region. We offer both weekend and mid-week options for the training.
Once the training has been completed there is an opportunity to progress. As previously highlighted in step three, the learner should have identified the desired progression route. We then offer support for them to have the best chance to progress. At this stage, we could offer discounted courses if the learner identified progression onto higher level training.
The funding comes from the European Social Fund (ESF) which provides support for the UK by striving to support jobs, helping people get better jobs and ensuring fairer job opportunities for all EU citizens. The SSW project runs across several different regions and is managed by The Growth Company, they ensure that the funding is used appropriately.
