"Doing the Diploma meant I was able to get my career up and running, confident that I have the knowledge to train people safely"

How You're Taught

This course combines Level 2 Certificate Gym Instructor and Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training. In total the course runs for 16 days. Each day starts at 9 am and finishes at 5 pm and it is essential that you attend all of the days to achieve the Diploma.

Level 2 Gym

There is an element of self-study which you will be required to do before you attend the course. This includes some worksheets you will need to complete. We advise you to spend a minimum of two weeks on this part of the course. Your tutor will be available to offer support to you during this time.

The practical part of the course runs over four days. This is usually over two weekends, although we do sometimes offer midweek courses, usually over two days a week for two weeks.

Level 3 Personal Trainer

Like Level 2 there is an element of self-study and a workbook to complete before you attend your practical sessions. Your tutor is available to offer you support.

The practical part of the course runs over 10 days, usually over five weekends (not all consecutive). We do sometimes offer midweek courses, again over two days a week.

Over the 10 days, there are assessment elements which are incorporated into the course, rather than them all being at the end.

Level 2

The first part of your assessment is two worksheets that are part of your self-study. This is followed by two multiple-choice theory papers. In the afternoon you take part in practical workshops to prepare you for the practical assessment on day two.

Level 3

The first part of your assessment is the workbooks you are to complete as part of your self-study.

The assessment elements of this part of the course are incorporated into the practical sessions and include multiple-choice theory papers, worksheets, case studies and practical assessments.
